Full Financial Plan
For those clients looking for a comprehensive assessment of their financial circumstances including recommendations about how to achieve long-term goals we offer a full financial planning service. This service will examine your financial situation with respect to many areas including:
- cashflow and budgeting
- risk insurance
- general insurance
- your debts and mortgage
- salary packaging opportunities
- investment and wealth accumulation strategies
- superannuation
- retirement and centrelink planning if applicable
Full Planning Fees
Fees for the full planning service are 1.1% of household income plus 2.2% of all investable assets. Additionally, if the recommendations include risk insurance or mortgages the usual implementation fees from the product providers will be taken. However, the maximum plan fee we will take is $5,500 although there is a minimum plan fee of $1,100.
Investable assets include all investment assets
including superannuation, direct shares, managed funds and investment properties (but not the family home). We include these assets in the
assessment of your fee (even if they are not held with us) as we need to advise on these assets if we are to recommend a course of action taking into account your complete circumstances.
Those families on moderate incomes with moderate portfolios will end up paying a smaller amount for their full financial plan while families with higher incomes and a more extensive asset base will pay more (although there is a cap). We believe this to
be fair as the complexity of the work involved will be reflected in the fee.
The fees that will be due based on your household income and investable assets are able to be offset by any commissions that we stand to receive in the course of implementing the recommendations. This is particularly relevant in the event that the plan involves the refinancing of the mortgage with additional risk insurance. The fees paid by the product providers to us may completely offset the 1.1% income and 2.2% investable asset fees. However, you may be invoiced for the remainder if there is any shortfall and rebated any excess over the maximum fee.
