There are numerous ways to create wealth, including chance, speculation, marriage, inheritance, theft, extortion, fraud, monopoly, graft, lobbying, counterfeiting, and prospecting.

We generally tend to favour long-term investment, whether in shares or property, as an avenue to weatlh creation. Once the asset class(es) has/have been chosen there are many different strategies that can be implemented to build your wealth.

Basically, our fundamental belief is that wealth creation revolves around the correct use of cashflow. That is, controlling cashflow so that it can be directed to areas that will assist in the long-term creation of wealth. In basic form, wealth creation requires:

  • use of a budget to create cash surpluses
  • directing surpluses to investments
  • diversifying investment approaches and/or asset classes to reduce the impact of negatively performing investments
  • maintaining discipline to allow various strategies sufficient time to create wealth
  • implementation of wealth protection strategies
